Flickr

Have created a new email account with Yahoo for Flickr.Although it appears you can do a lot with Flickr I am quite happy to use Facebook for photos. (I forgot to put in the last blog that Facebook was another communication tool that needed checking.) Interesting that people are using tags so that other people can find information.  Librarians have been doing this for generations.  And doing it better by using consistent terminology. The examples given by Striatic seemed to me to be meaningless.  It also seems to me that you must have a lot of time available to be able to  take and upload photos to sites such as Flickr.  This may be a good project for retirement.

First Blog

Challenges of creating a blog.  First already had a Google email account that I had forgotten about.  However onscreen instructions were clear so was easily able to  overcome this hurdle.  Do I really want to blog?  Do enough communicating already. In the old days we answered the phone and opened the mail.  Now there are land-line and mobile phones both with message bank; 3 email addresses; 5 email lists; to say nothing of snail mail that keeps rolling in. Have noticed that some of my colleagues who communicate via a blog have to send an email to a list to say that they have put something new on the blog???  It would be good if life was getting simpler.
